The third road matchup was the charm for The Central Hawks, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 26-18 victory over Southwest Georgia STEM Charter on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central also won the last time the pair played last Thursday.
Rubin Henderson was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Demarcus White did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 140 receiving yards.
Another reason for the win was Central's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter's QB won't forget Jaden Peterson anytime soon given Peterson sacked him four times.
Central's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Southwest Georgia STEM Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Central will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Chattahoochee County at 6:30 p.m. Chattahoochee County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
