Football Recap: Laurel Piles Up the Points Against Lockwood

Laurel put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past the Lockwood LIONS to the tune of 35-7. Given the Locomotives' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the LIONS are ranked 37th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Laurel was led to victory by Curtis Fox and Davin Graves. Fox rushed for 124 yards and three TDs, while Graves rushed for 65 yards and one score on only nine carries. The dominant performance also gave Graves a new career-high in passing yards (119).

Laurel's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lockwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Laurel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 35-0 defeat against Billings Central Catholic on the 19th. As for Lockwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-6 loss against East Helena on the 19th.
