The Bonham Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. Their rough 61-36 loss to Bells might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bonham of the 51-34 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Bonham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Heath Brown, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Brynlee Owens, who scored eight points.
Bonham has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season. As for Bells, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonham will challenge the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bells will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
