After a string of three wins, the El Dorado Wolverines's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Ridgeline Academy 61-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, El Dorado still got an impressive performance from Mikai Phipps, who scored 24 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Carbajal, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
El Dorado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Ridgeline Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
El Dorado won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Empower College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on December 13th. Empower College Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 185th, while El Dorado is ranked 50th). Ridgeline Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Premier at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
