After a string of eight wins, the Lincoln Prep Lightning's's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Benjamin Franklin 43-37.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Benjamin Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sage Mortensen , who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Mortensen hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Jacey Blair was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight steals.
Lincoln Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Benjamin Franklin, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Lincoln Prep will head out on the road to face off against Gilbert Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Benjamin Franklin and Globe will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Globe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
