If North Iredell wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Rowan, they should've done a better job of containing Josiah Young. The Falcons came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 65-56 on Friday thanks in part to Young, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played.

North Iredell's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Zachary, who posted 17 points and five boards. Nate Bunton was another key player, putting up six points and 15 rebounds.

West Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for North Iredell, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

West Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-54 win against Statesville on the 8th. As for North Iredell, they will head out to take on West Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will be up against the Blackhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
