The Citrus Hill Hawks pushed their score all the way to 63 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-63 to San Jacinto. Citrus Hill has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Kannon Steward and Jerren White certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Steward scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while White scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Steward has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Roland Thibodeaux was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Stephen Castleberry was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with seven rebounds for San Jacinto. Another player making a difference was Omar Garcia, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Citrus Hill has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for San Jacinto, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
