Despite the defeat, Roosevelt had strong showings from Nolan Peterson, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, and Seppe Salvatore, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. Salvatore scored a full 31.3% of Roosevelt's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Palma, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists.
Northridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drake Walker led the charge by scoring 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Walker has scored at least 25% of Northridge's points. Lincoln Lyons was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Roosevelt has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 1-4 record. As for Northridge, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will square off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
