Hobbs was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Artesia. The Eagles came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 36 last week.
Clovis took down Highland 68-25 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Carlsbad's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rodney Holcon threw for 138 yards and Trevin Ramirez had 50 yards receiving. On the ground Elijah McCoy contributed 70 yards. Josh Miller helped Carlsbad's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 35 yards.
