 Meanwhile, Willow Canyon put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season  last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Centennial with a sharp  11-1 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Willow Canyon.
 Willow Canyon also got a great performance from  Aubrey Kautman as she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Kautman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Rylee Turlington and  Mia Viramontes did most of the damage at the plate:  Turlington  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Viramontes  went 2-for-2 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Izzy Ray, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
 Paradise Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Willow Canyon, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Paradise Valley suffered a grim  17-3 defeat to Willow Canyon  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Can Paradise Valley avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
