The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships will take on the Denmark Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Manitowoc Lincoln barely beat Sheboygan North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ships blew past the Golden Raiders 17-4 on Saturday. The Ships' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Turner Sorenson looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Manitowoc Lincoln got a massive performance out of Vance Schroeder, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cade Grapentine, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Denmark made sure to put some runs up on the board against New Holstein on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Huskies. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.
Cade Delarwelle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits.
On the hitting side, Braedon Heezen was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Caden Kersten was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
The win got Denmark back to even at 2-2. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Manitowoc Lincoln has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .469. However, it's not like Denmark struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Manitowoc Lincoln couldn't quite finish off Denmark when the teams last played back in May of 2022 and fell 3-1. Will the Ships have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
