Central Dauphin East has not had much luck with Cumberland Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Nolan Buzalka was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Cumberland Valley. Buzalka has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ron Nguyen, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Central Dauphin East has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Cumberland Valley, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Central Dauphin East will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bishop McDevitt at 7:30 p.m. Cumberland Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Williamsport at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Williamsport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Cumberland Valley is ranked 16th).
