Miami Trace got a massive performance out of Brody McBee, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave McBee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Hyer, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Miami Trace always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McClain only posted an OBP of .192.
Meanwhile, Madison Plains suffered their closest defeat since April 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cedarville by a score of 9-7. The loss was the Golden Eagles' first of the season.
Madison Plains saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Rhoads, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Having lost for the first time this season, Madison Plains fell to 4-1. As for Miami Trace, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Miami Trace has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Madison Plains struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
