Stone suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of East Central by a score of 30-28.
Meanwhile, Vancleave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-15 loss at the hands of Laurel. Vancleave was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-8.
Stone has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Vancleave, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
