The biggest upset of the week belonged to Irvine, who took down 389th ranked Irvine, 20-7. Quinn O'Dell threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Beckman moved up to 472 from 558 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pacific Coast. A 20-7 win over the Vaqueros helped the Patriots improve their standing.
Cayman Carter was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 158 yards as Corona del Mar topped University. Kai Wilson also contributed to the rushing game with 117 yards on the ground.
Kevin Brown made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Trojans lost to the Sea Kings. The 5-foot-9 senior forced one fumble and grabbed 3.0 sacks.
Reese was the best wideout in the league this week as Corona del Mar defeated University. Reese racked up five receptions for 76 yards. Bo St. Geme helped Corona del Mar's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Scott Meyer's team's Carter and Reese have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Pacific Coast in both passing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 953 yards this season, while Reese, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 24 catches for 319 yards. Austin DeFreitas from Woodbridge leads the league in rushing with 1026 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mark Cunningham's team takes on Irvine. At the moment, the Trojans are in third, while Erik Terry's team is in second.
The Sea Kings led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on University. Carter threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
