While Thomas Walker's win against Pineville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pioneers had just enough and edged out the Mountain Lions 12-10. 12 seems to be a good number for the Pioneers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Clay Cheek was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Derek Abner, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

Thomas Walker's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pineville, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomas Walker will face off against Hancock County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pineville, they will take on Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
