2A-2 Region III District 11 recap October 29, 2013
Hearne's MarcJavion McGrew rumbled for the longest rushing play in 2A-2 Region III District 11 this season in his game against Moody last week. McGrew ran for 73 yards on the play and finished with 250 on the day as his team defeated the Bearcats.
Fans got a thrill when Tromaine Miles and TreDarrius Satchell connected against Moody. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 73 yards.
Hearne's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Miles has thrown for 589 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Devante Jefferson has 22 catches for 358 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rosebud-Lott takes on Buffalo. As it stands, the Cougars are in third, while the Bison are in fourth.
Crawford extended the longest winning streak in 2A-2 Region III District 11 this week by beating Bruceville-Eddy, 45-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Pirates.
