Calhoun Academy lost to Holly Hill Academy back in March of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Sara Marshall Covington, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sherrilynn Shannon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Calhoun Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holly Hill Academy only posted an OBP of .458.

Calhoun Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Holly Hill Academy, their record is now 9-4.

Calhoun Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
