Softball Recap: Caston Has No Trouble Against Argos

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Caston and Argos meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Comets put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 20-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Natalie Warner made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Caston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Argos only posted an OBP of .250.

Caston's record now sits at 11-7. As for Argos, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Caston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-10 loss against Pioneer on the 19th. Argos has also already played their next matchup (against Tri-Township), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
