Goshen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Highland Home Flying Squadron 9-1. With that  win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
 Grant Taylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned runs in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Tyler McLendon was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  stolen bases the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Parks Snyder, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
Goshen pushed their record up to 3-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Highland Home, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Goshen's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Pleasant Home's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
