Quad Cities Christian is 10-0 against Unity Christian since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Quad Cities Christian turned things around against Morning Star Academy on Monday. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 60-47.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quad Cities Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Garant, who went 5 for 10 en route to 14 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cobie Becker-Paradiso, who posted nine points and six blocks.
Quad Cities Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Unity Christian hadn't done well against Tri-State Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Unity Christian strolled past Tri-State Christian with points to spare, taking the game 53-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Unity Christian's win came from a few key players Quad Cities Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nathan Woessner, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Grant Heun was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.
Unity Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Quad Cities Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Quad Cities Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.7 points per game. It's a different story for Unity Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 37.5 points. The only thing between Quad Cities Christian and another offensive beatdown is Unity Christian.
