On Saturday, Woodlawn-B.R. was beaten by Lafayette Christian Academy 70-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Woodlawn-B.R. has scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelinee Stone, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Johnson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Woodlawn-B.R.'s defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodlawn-B.R.'s homestand continues as they prepare to take on Belaire at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. Belaire will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Woodlawn-B.R. is ranked 102nd). Lafayette Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Cecilia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
