Softball Recap: Salem Academy Wins Going Away Against Colton

Salem Academy won the last time they faced Colton and things went their way on Friday too. The Crusaders blew past the Vikings 16-1. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 11 runs or more this season.

Salem Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Colton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem Academy will challenge St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Colton, they will square off against Perrydale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
