When it comes to explaining why Scripps Ranch lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kai Brown. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Brown scored a full 34% of Scripps Ranch's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Flint, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Cathedral Catholic, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Scripps Ranch will be playing at home against Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Vista's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. Cathedral Catholic is on the road again on Thursday and play against Patrick Henry at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Patrick Henry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 338th, while Cathedral Catholic is ranked 22nd).
