The New Berlin Eisenhower Lions will head out to face off against the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
On Monday, New Berlin Eisenhower came up short against Pewaukee and fell 6-3.
Jayda Karls was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ellery Stoltz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin Lutheran's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Monday. Everything went their way against New Berlin West as they made off with a 10-0 win. Wisconsin Lutheran hasn't had any issues with New Berlin West recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Sidney Schroeder made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Schroeder was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Zhana Guenther was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Brooklyn Haag was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Wisconsin Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Berlin West only posted a batting average of .143.
New Berlin Eisenhower now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, their record is now 4-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. New Berlin Eisenhower has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Wisconsin Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 1.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
New Berlin Eisenhower came up short against Wisconsin Lutheran in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
