Given Oak Ridge Military Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy is ranked 645th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Durham Academy ended up a good deal behind Cary Academy on Friday and lost 63-45. Durham Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Amare Burrus, who scored 13 points. Quin Frasher was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Oak Ridge Military Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Durham Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
