It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the North Hall Trojans can now relate to. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of Stockbridge on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 39 points in the game before, North Hall couldn't push the score so high this time.
Tanner Marsh threw for 67 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Ryals Puryear was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.
Stockbridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden "duke" Scott, who rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Scott is absolutely dominating the rushing touchdown category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Cobey Thompkins was another key contributor, throwing for 131 yards and three touchdowns.
North Hall's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Stockbridge, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
North Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stockbridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Westminster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westminster is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
