Given Dodge County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Hornets are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dodge County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Jordan led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jaedon Mcclendon, who scored 13 points.
Cook's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reshauld Tippins, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Tippins continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshun McKever, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Dodge County is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Cook, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
