The biggest upset of the week belonged to Spencerville, who took down 264th ranked Columbus Grove, 30-6.
Lima Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in Northwest this week by beating Jefferson, 42-19. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Ada's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mason Acheson threw for 171 and one touchdown and Micah Roberson had 66 yards receiving. On the ground Kellen Decker chipped in 329 yards. Matt Wilcox helped Ada's passing attack out by catching three balls for 60 yards.
Ada's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Acheson has thrown for 1299 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Wilcox has 18 catches for 351 yards. Decker leads the league in rushing with 929 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Bulldogs take on Paulding. Ada's offense has scored 247 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Panthers have allowed only 250 on the year.
Mike Fell's team's Decker needs only 71 yards against Paulding next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in Northwest this week will be when the Bearcats take on Lima Central Catholic. Spencerville is currently in third, while Jerry Cooper's team is in first.
Bluffton moved up to 368 from 445 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Pirates climbed the ranks as a result of a 53-29 win over the Pirates.
