The Victor Valley Jackrabbits will head out on the road to square off against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Victor Valley is looking for their season's first win.

Andrea Garcia and Ruby Avila stepped up to the plate in a big way. Garcia went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Avila scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside Prep). They never let Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Thursday. The Silver Knights haven't had any issues with Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Bree Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other pitching news, Sadie Martinez looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Daisy Hernandez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Meeka Martinez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Riverside Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy only posted a batting average of .167.
Riverside Prep's record now sits at 6-8. As for Victor Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Victor Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Riverside Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
