Landon Wilmes' Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's Landon Wilmes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Wilmes rushed for 283 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory (which was Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Wilmes and Worth County/Northeast Nodaway will head out on the road to take on King City on Friday.

Levi Mcafee Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, North Andrew got the W thanks in part to Levi Mcafee playing the best football he has all season. Mcafee rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
North Andrew pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Mcafee and North Andrew will head out to take on Stanberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Braxon Linville Makes It Two for North Andrew
Another North Andrew player making an appearance on this list is Braxon Linville. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 39 yards and a touchdown. The contest was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
For the year, Linville has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 43.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

Kyle Emerson Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Kyle Emerson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Albany to the win on Friday. Emerson picked up 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 74 yards.
The victory for Albany keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Emerson and Albany are taking a road trip to take on Pattonsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Albany Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Chase Cline
Albany picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Chase Cline. Cline did his part (and then some), rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while also throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 73 yards.
This season, Cline has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 103.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 20.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 55.43 rushing yards.
