The Wilson Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southwest Covenant Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Wilson put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 57-8 win over Central.
Meanwhile, Southwest Covenant faced Seiling in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Southwest Covenant's rough 52-28 loss to Seiling last Thursday might stick with them for a while. Southwest Covenant was down 44-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Southwest Covenant got a solid performance out of Nate Gerber, who threw for 395 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. Trace Brunk also helped out as he racked up 132 receiving yards.
Wilson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Southwest Covenant, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
