The Northridge Grizzlies lost against the Thompson Valley Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northridge took a serious blow against Thompson Valley, falling 71-43. Northridge has not had much luck with Thompson Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Northridge's loss came despite strong showings from Louis Pisano and Drake Walker. Pisano scored 18 points along with five steals, while Walker scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Walker scored a full 37.2% of Northridge's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Brady Kennison was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with five rebounds for Thompson Valley. The match was Kennison's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tom Mandeville was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Thompson Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northridge will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Greeley West. Hopefully Greeley West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. Thompson Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th.
