Christoval is on a five-game streak of home wins, while the Eagles are on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Christoval Cougars will take on the Sterling City Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Christoval had to settle for a 48-45 loss against the Broncos.
Meanwhile, Sterling City didn't have too much trouble with the Wildcats at home on Friday as they won 53-35. Given Sterling City's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 568th, while the Wildcats are ranked 1483rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Christoval's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Sterling City, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 22-5.
Christoval was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles in their previous meeting back in January, winning 65-55. Does Christoval have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
