The Glendale Nitros pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 67-66 to Burroughs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Thursday (64), Glendale still had to take the loss.
Burroughs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Everhart, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The match was Everhart's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase Kardosh, who scored 21 points.
Glendale bumped their record down to 12-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Burroughs, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Glendale will head out on the road to face off against Hoover at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Burroughs, they will be playing at home against Burbank at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Burbank is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
