Dodge City is on a nine-game streak of home losses, and Heights an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Dodge City Demons will welcome the Heights Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Dodge City put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They walked away with a 19-15 win over South.

Macy Musslin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. Musslin was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-6 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Dodge City got a massive performance out of Tatum Steiner, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Steiner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadie Thompson, who went 4-for-6 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Dodge City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Heights made easy work of West on Tuesday and carried off a 23-8 victory. With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Hayden Wettstein was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Ellie Wilkins was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Dodge City's victory bumped their record up to 2-16. As for Heights, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.
Everything went Dodge City's way against Heights in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Dodge City made off with a 15-1 victory. Do the Demons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
