After flying high against the Arrupe Jesuit Generals last Saturday, the Timnath Cubs came back down to earth. Timnath fell 64-51 to Skyview on Thursday. Timnath lost against Skyview in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-45 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Timnath saw an underclassman step up: Gretchen Deines dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sage Raymond, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
Timnath now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Skyview, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Timnath won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Mary's Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 8th. Skyview will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Weld Central at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th.
