First Colonial had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Salem on Thursday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Sundevils with a sharp 16-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won three games in a row.

First Colonial now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Salem, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
