The Puckett Wolves lost against the Pisgah Dragons on January 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Puckett fell 48-41 to Pisgah. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Puckett in their matchups with Pisgah: they've now lost three in a row.
Pisgah's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Laylah Johnson, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and six assists. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madysen Washington, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Puckett's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Pisgah, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Puckett will square off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pisgah, they will head out on the road to face off against Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raleigh is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
