The Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs were the 62-35 winner over the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles when they last played one another on January 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. Coachella Valley took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Desert Hot Springs on Friday.
Despite the loss, Coachella Valley still got an impressive performance from Israel Garcia, who scored 16 points. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Mark Alexander Gonzalez Lomeli was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Coachella Valley dropped their record down to 7-18 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Desert Hot Springs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-11.
Coachella Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Banning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banning is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Desert Hot Springs, they will head out on the road to square off against Indio at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Indio has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 618 points over their last seven matchups.
