Surry Central waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They had just enough and edged the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans out 74-72. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since December 28, 2023.

Surry Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian Williams led the charge by going 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals. That's the most steals Williams has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Mcmillen, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards.

Surry Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
