The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Midstate Homeschool scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19.
Several Guardians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophie Cazayoux, who had seven aces and three digs. Another player making a difference was Therese Friddell, who had six digs and five kills.
