Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Normal Community). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Richwoods Knights 80-78. The victory was familiar territory for the Ironmen, who have now won 11 contests in a row.

Normal Community's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. As for Richwoods, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.

Normal Community and Richwoods could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Normal Community (ranked 27th) will meet Principia (ranked fifth) at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Similarly, Richwoods will challenge Kankakee at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday down 106 places (135 vs. 29).
