Jackson is 5-0 against the Seminoles since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Jackson Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Creekside Seminoles at 3:00 p.m. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,293 points over their last 18 games.
Jackson stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Lithia Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-32 win at home. Jackson pushed the score to 52-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had little chance of recovering from.
Jackson relied on the efforts of Shakira Gresham, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds, and Kennedie Cooper, who scored 16 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gresham has scored all season. Journey Conley was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Creekside stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Villa Rica on the road to the tune of 70-30. Given Creekside's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Wildcats are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for Creekside, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Jackson strolled past the Seminoles when the teams last played back in January by a score of 66-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
