Basketball Recap: Riverside Sets Scoring Season-High Against Scott

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside). They came out on top against the Scott Skyhawks by a score of 68-55 on Monday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laila Campbell, who posted 17 points along with five boards and three steals. That's the most steals Campbell has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Bare, who had eight points in addition to seven assists and five steals.

Riverside was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Scott, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott, they will face off against Roane County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
