The Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Christian Fellowship, falling 57-19.
Christian Fellowship's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Davis, who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Brett Conklin, who scored 17 points.
Bucklin-Macon County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Christian Fellowship, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucklin-Macon County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Meadville at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Christian Fellowship, they will be playing at home against Chamois at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamois will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Christian Fellowship is ranked 89th).
