River Ridge is 0-4 against Calvary Christian since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The River Ridge Royal Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Calvary Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (River Ridge: 2, Calvary Christian: 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
While River Ridge's win against Gulf wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. River Ridge skirted past Gulf 5-3. The Royal Knights haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Lilly Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emma Gutauskas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Mia Schwaner was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Crystal River as Calvary Christian made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Warriors have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Calvary Christian also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Morgan Spinner gave up a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Spinner.
At the plate, Julia Tamulski was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (four). Another player making a difference was Emma Bell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Calvary Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crystal River only posted a batting average of .091.
Calvary Christian's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for River Ridge, their record is now 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. River Ridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Calvary Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
River Ridge might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Calvary Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can River Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
