Start has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rogers recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Start is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Thursday, Start was able to grind out a solid victory over Emmanuel Christian, taking the game 7-2. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly five runs.
Braden Bowman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Bryce Creecy was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Start: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Emari Green, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Rogers came out on top against Scott on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Rams blew past the Bulldogs 19-4. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 7.7 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Da'Marion Allen-Gabriel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Olice Frison II also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Rogers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Start's record is now 5-3-1. As for Rogers, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Start has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've averaged .509. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Start took their win against Rogers in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
