The North Forrest Eagles''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down Leake Central 57-42. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Todd Edmond, who threw for 320 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. Demar Gardner was another key contributor, picking up 205 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
North Forrest's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Leake Central, their loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Forrest will take on Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Raleigh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully North Forrest likes a good challenge. Leake Central is on the road again on Friday and play against Senatobia at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Senatobia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leake Central in Mississippi (Senatobia is ranked 38th, while Leake Central is ranked 188th).
