Mater Dei has a real challenge coming up -- the hardest it has met all year. It and St. John Bosco face off this Saturday at 7:30 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. Mater Dei will be bringing a perfect record into the contest.
Mater Dei took its game last week with a confident 48 - 21 score. Sophomore running back Shakobe Harper was especially active in the win, finding the endzone an impressive three times. Harper has now scored at least one TD in the past three consecutive games.
As for St. John Bosco, it came out on top in a nail-biter against Centennial last week, sneaking past 49 - 47. Senior running back Terrance Beasley continued his outstanding stretch of play, as he rushed for 116 yards in the win, marking his 3rd consecutive game with over 100 yards rushing.
Their wins bumped Mater Dei to 13-0 and St. John Bosco to 11-2. It should be a fierce showdown as Mater Dei is ranked 1st in the nation and St. John Bosco is ranked 4th. We'll see who wants it more.
